Halloween came to the US from Ireland and Scotland.
The US also received Halloween traditions from Mexico and Guatemala.
Now, Halloween and trick-or-treat are celebrated around the world.
In the past, kids always dressed up as ghosts or monsters.
Today, kids have many costume choices for Halloween.
Even dogs wear costumes, sometimes.
