A: The world is an amazing place. It has so many different plants, animals, and peoples.
B: Each one is special, and each one has its job to do.
A: Each one also needs our love, care, and respect.
B: Here is the story happened in the tropical forests of Sri Lanka.
A: A group of wild elephants were crossing a railway, and one of the baby elephants stopped curiously on the track and refused to leave.
B: At this time, a train came and the little elephant was knocked down. The other elephants became angry and rushed towards the train.
A: They used their long teeth to pry the rails and sleepers, and after a while, the rails and sleepers lay there in a mess.
B: The next day, many workers started to repair the railway under the protection of the police.
A: But when they were 50 meters away from the wild elephants, the elephant herd standing there began to rush towards the crowd.
B:The people escaped into the train quickly. The elephants destroyed the newly repaired tracks again.
A: On the third day, two platoons of troops were sent by the authorities.
B: The soldiers set up their formation and moved forward slowly with their guns.
A: The gun went off and the dense bullets were fired at the elephants.
B: They were not real bullets, but "blanks" used to scare the wild elephants.
A: They tried to scare the wild elephants into the forest. However, this did not work either.
B: The wild elephants regarded death as home, showing a heroic spirit of righteousness.
A: So, on this very day, the government made a wise decision.
B: Stop the "fight". Build a new section of railroad to bypass the area where the baby elephant was killed.
A: And to build some special passages for wild elephants and other jungle animals along the entire railway line.
B: This "battle" finally ended in a compromise of mankind.
A: The above story tells us to repect the life of all living things.
B: Animals are still sentient and righteous,
A: so how can people who claim to be the spirit of all living things,
B: deprive other creatures of their "will to survive".
